sew,mama,sew giveaway day 2011!!!

Giveaway is now closed! Winner announced here!

It's that time again. . . gotta love Giveaway Day! If this is new to you, make sure to stop by the Sew, Mama, Sew! blog and check out all the other giveaways going on. Some changes have been made to how this all works this year but I think you'll find it will be easier to participate.

Photobucket

I've made two items to giveaway today. . .

-a super cozy, fuzzy, and warm cowl in light grey with a white contrast stripe. The cowl is long enough to be worn several ways and is made from a really soft alpaca/acrylic blend yarn. It's machine washable to boot. Though I would suggest laying flat to dry.

-a pretty fold over zip clutch made using my current favorite fabric and I experimented by adding a metal zip and suede corners. It is full lined with grey duck cloth. I'm seriously in love with it and plan to make another for myself!

{pattern used for cowl: leah infinity scarf by artsy crochet}

I just finished "Sarah's Key." It was very good and I'd recommend it. Now I'm starting the new book about Steve Jobs. My husband recently finished it and says it was an exceptional read. I'm also in love with any of the classics written by John Steinbeck.

Wow, both your prizes are fabulous - and they even match! :)

It’s a dangerous thing to ask me what my favorite books are. *grin-sigh* I’ll split it into several parts, here.
Last three good books I read were: Bob Hope – My Life In Jokes, by Bob Hope; Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, by Roddy Doyle; and The Improbable Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by John Joseph Adams.
Favorite book series is the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (starts with His Majesty’s Dragon).
My favorite kids books are: Mr. Pusskins by Sam Lloyd, A Story For Bear by Dennis Haseley, Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen, The Happy Lion by Louise Fatio, and The Toughest Cowboy by John Frank.
Favorite online comic is harkavagrant.com.
Favorite graphic novel authors are Marjane Satrapi and Craig Thompson
Favorite romance novel authors are Jo Beverley, Joanna Bourne, and Susan Johnson.
Favorite classics are Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, and pretty much all the Sherlock Holmes.
Read The Help by Kathryn Stockett is you haven't already.
Other authos: Italo Calvino, Catherynne Valente, Douglas Adams, and Louise Rennison.

Could I go on? Yes. Shall I? No, for your safety. *grin*

Thanks for the opportunity to win! :)

I absolutely love the suede corners on the bag. So cute and they compliment the fabric perfectly.
My hands down favorite book is "Into the Wild" and of course a few classics ('Catcher in the Rye, A Tale of Two Cities').

Both of your offerings are wonderful but the bag is over the top! My reading lately has been trashy reality escaping books so I am not the person to ask what to read. I enjoyed the movie Thor but I like action adventure movies! Thanks for the chance to win.
